The Committee for Adelaide will host a significant, event bringing together political leaders for a special conversation on leadership, democracy and the evolving role of government in Australia.
Featuring a special address from the Premier of South Australia, the Hon. Peter Malinauskas MP fresh from his re-election and entering a second term, he will bring a timely, front-line perspective on the priorities shaping South Australia’s future, setting the scene for the panel discussion. While Antony Green, ABC’s Former Chief Elections Analyst, who has spent decades interpreting electoral trends, will add his perspectives on voting behaviour and political engagement.
This discussion will extend beyond South Australia to explore the broader national context, examining the state of democracy in Australia, shifting public expectations of leadership, and the challenges facing governments today.
The conversation will explore the changing geopolitical landscape, the growing focus on public integrity and trust, and the priorities that will shape both South Australia’s future and the nation more broadly.
It will also provide a rare opportunity for reflection, with past leaders sharing what they are most proud of during their time in office, the lessons they learnt about leadership and democracy, and the challenges and opportunities they see ahead, both for South Australia and across the country.
