The Committee for Adelaide, invites you to an engaging SA Zero Open Event, Climate Change, Risks, Opportunities, and Adaptation.

A timely and thought-provoking discussion on the risks and opportunities that climate change presents for Adelaide and the broader South Australian region - one year out from COP31.

As the impacts of a changing climate become increasingly evident, this event will explore how Adelaide can lead the way in adaptation, innovation, and sustainability. From urban resilience and renewable energy to green jobs and strategic policy, we’ll examine both the challenges ahead and the opportunities to build a thriving, climate-smart future.

Hear from Dr. Mark Lawrence, Professor of Practice, University of Adelaide, followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion featuring;

• The Hon. Lucy Hood MP, Minister for Climate, Environment & Water

• Professor Göran Roos, internationally recognised expert in innovation and industry policy

• Professor Ross Garnaut AC, Director, ZEN Energy; leading economist and climate policy advisor

Moderated by Alicia Genet, General Counsel, Fleet Space Technologies and Deputy Chair, Committee for Adelaide.
